Saqqara-Abusir Collaboration Update, November 2024

Following the agreement in principal for collaborative work and bioarchaeological data collection, the Saqqara and Abusir teams met up at the Czech Institute of Egyptology, Charles University in Prague, to discuss the methodologies used by both teams and work plan.
We are excited to report that Iwona will join the Abusir team in the upcoming spring fieldwork season to study the human remains for evidence of ill health and disease. Both teams will meet up again to discuss the findings during the upcoming conference in Prague, dedicated to archaeological and Egyptological research at Abusir and Saqqara.
