24th European Meeting of the Paleopathology Association, Leiden, August 2024

Annual meetings of the Paleopathology Association are great opportunities for sharing research findings, knowledge exchange, and networking with fellow members. This year, the meeting took place in Leiden, the Netherlands, and its hybrid format allowed many colleagues to participate in person and online. The scope of research presented was incredible, and included many papers and posters on topics concerning the Nile Valley populations. Among those was Iwona’s presentation on dental and skeletal age discrepancy in subadults from Saqqara. The full conference programme can be found here, and the abstracts for the conference contributions will soon be published in a supplement of the International Journal of Paleopathology.

In the meantime, Iwona and Emily will continue their research on the topic presented at the PPA conference in preparation for publication.
